How the Destiny Matrix is calculated

Where the numbers come from

The day, month and year of birth give the first three points. If a number is above 22, its digits are added until it is 22 or less: 31 becomes 4, and the year 1990 gives 1 + 9 + 9 + 0 = 19.

Every other point is a sum of points already found: the bottom corner D adds day, month and year, the center E adds the four corners, the ancestral corners add their two neighbors, the lines add the center and the corners. The formula for each point is shown under its number in the calculator.

Why 22

There are 22 numbers because there are 22 major arcana in the Tarot. We use the Marseille numbering: 8 is Justice, 11 is Strength and 22 is The Fool, which has no number in the classic deck.

The matrix does not use the cards as pictures: it takes only the names and the symbolism of the arcana from the Tarot.

Why results differ between sites

Schools reduce large numbers in different ways. We add the digits while the number is above 22. Other sites subtract 22. For 39 we get 12, they get 17. Half of the chart depends on this rule.

For a couple we add the same point of both people and reduce the result the same way. The age scale is built by halving the segments between the main points, in steps of 1.25 years.

What we claim and what we do not

We claim only the arithmetic: which number sits in which point and how it got there. Every percentage on the site is calculated over 25,933 real dates from 1940 to 2010 with the same code.

We do not claim that the matrix predicts events, makes diagnoses or gives money advice. It has no scientific basis. We offer it as a tool for reflection.

Who writes the texts

The texts about the arcana in each position are written for this site and checked against the formula: if an arcanum cannot land in a position by arithmetic, there is no interpretation for it there.

The paid PDF analysis is written by an AI model on top of our calculation and our own corpus of texts. An automatic check confirms that every number it mentions matches the chart. We say so on every page.

What happens to your date

The calculation runs in your browser. The date stays in the page address after the # sign, and the browser does not send that part to the server. The free part needs no sign-up and no email.
