The karmic tail in the Destiny Matrix
The karmic tail is the three arcana running down from the center. They read as a pattern inherited from the family or from your own habits, one you can recognize and rewrite.
The bottom corner D is added to the center: that is the first arcanum of the tail. The second is D plus the first. The third is the corner D itself. It is read from the center outwards. Arcana 1 and 2 never appear here: the smallest possible sum is higher.
How it is calculated, with the date 17/05/1990
- Tail, 1
5 + 10 = 1515 · The Devil - Tail, 2

The Empress
The Empress in the karmic tail can reflect a family pattern where women gave everything to the family and kept nothing for themselves. Or the opposite: the home lacked warmth and affection, and you learned to care with no example to follow. Both versions can change. The change often starts small: pleasure without guilt, help that you accept, not only give.

The Emperor
A karmic tail with The Emperor can point to a family pattern of harsh authority: a strict father, rules without explanations, love expressed through demands. Or the opposite, where the home had no support and a child grew up too early. This experience can be rewritten if you build order together with others rather than for them, and allow yourself not just strength but also tiredness and doubt.

The Hierophant
The Hierophant in the karmic tail can reflect a family pattern of strict rules: what is allowed and what is not, what to believe, what job to do. Sometimes it is the experience of not being able to question one's elders. Your own search becomes the support here: keep the family values that resonate with you, and honestly let go of those that survive only out of habit.

The Lovers
The Lovers in the karmic tail can describe a family pattern where choices were not made with the heart: marriages of convenience, duty instead of feelings, decisions made for a person by their elders. Sometimes it is a story of breakups and betrayals. Your own script begins with permission to choose for yourself: a profession, a partner, a place to live, even if the family pictured something else for you. Your choice may differ from the family's, and that is fine.

The Chariot
In the karmic tail, The Chariot can reflect a pattern of constant relocation, wars and forced flight, or a family where only winning was valued. Hence the habit of living on the run, restlessness without motion, a feeling that stopping is dangerous. This experience sounds different once movement becomes conscious: choosing the direction yourself instead of fleeing, and allowing yourself to arrive and stay. Home can be a place of strength, not a trap.

Justice
A karmic tail with Justice can reflect a family history of unfairness: court cases, lost property, inheritance disputes, grievances passed down through generations. Or a pattern where the family was always working out who was to blame. Your own choice can be different: resolving disputes openly and honestly, closing old conflicts in time and not carrying other people's grudges further. The family's past does not make your decisions for you.

The Hermit
In the karmic tail, The Hermit can describe a pattern of forced loneliness: relatives who lived apart, emigrated, lost loved ones or were rejected by their community. Hence the habit of relying only on yourself and never asking for help. Solitude changes once it is chosen: being alone when you want to, not because it feels safer, and keeping the door open for people.

Wheel of Fortune
This arcanum in the karmic tail can reflect a pattern where the family kept getting rich and then losing everything: wars, relocations, bankruptcies, sharp turns. Hence the feeling that stability cannot be trusted, or the habit of betting everything on chance. Support here comes from understanding cycles: noticing repetitions, seeing a pattern in them and making decisions yourself instead of leaving them to circumstances. Sharp turns can be met prepared.

Strength
Strength in the karmic tail can reflect a family pattern where people survived by sheer strength: hard labor, conflicts, a habit of never showing weakness. Or the reverse, where strength was suppressed and your own wishes were off limits. Another version of this script is built on gentle discipline: recognizing anger, putting it into words, and resting before your strength runs out. Strength does not have to be harsh.

The Hanged Man
The Hanged Man in the karmic tail often describes a family pattern of putting up with things and sacrificing yourself for others. You may have learned that wanting something for yourself is awkward, while waiting and keeping quiet is right. This script can be rewritten: notice when you agree out of duty rather than desire, and practice saying plainly what you need. A pause helps when you are the one choosing it.

Death
Death in the karmic tail can point to a pattern where the family went through sudden losses and moves that nobody talked about. That can leave a wariness of change or, the other way round, a habit of dropping everything. It can go differently when endings are given meaning: saying goodbye, taking stock, talking through what happened. Then change stops being a blow and becomes a choice. An ordinary conversation with older relatives about the past can give you a surprising amount.

Temperance
Temperance in the karmic tail can point to a family pattern where patience was valued above all. You may have learned to smooth things over, stay quiet for the sake of peace, and put your own needs at the back of the line. A helpful thought: balance includes you as well. A compromise that makes you miserable is not really a compromise. You can stand up for your share calmly, without lurching to the opposite extreme.

The Devil
The Devil in the karmic tail can point to a family pattern of dependence: on habits, on money, on someone else's power, or on relationships that did harm. Perhaps someone in the family controlled others, or lived under control themselves. You do not have to repeat it. Notice your automatic reactions and ask yourself whether you really want what you are reaching for. Talking about it with someone you trust is already part of the way out.

The Tower
The Tower in the karmic tail can describe a pattern where the family suddenly lost a home, property, or status. A story like that can leave an anxiety that everything might collapse at any moment, or a habit of living as if things were temporary. The counterweight is slow building: your own space, your own rules, your own pace. The strength lies in building calmly, without dread and without showing off.

The Star
The Star in the karmic tail can point to a pattern where talent in the family went unvalued or was laughed at. Someone dreamed of singing or painting and took a safe job instead. You may have picked up the belief that creative work is not serious. This can change in small steps: show one piece of work, talk about one idea, get your first feedback and live through it.

The Moon
The Moon in the karmic tail can point to a pattern of family secrets, things left unsaid, and fears nobody spoke about. Perhaps the family was used to hiding the truth so as not to upset anyone. It is worth asking whether an echo of those silences sounds in your own anxiety. Clarity works like light here: ask, clarify, speak directly, and check which of your fears are real and which are not.

The Sun
The Sun in the karmic tail can point to a pattern where one person in the family was always the center of attention and the others lived in their shadow. Or joy was seen as something unearned, and after a celebration people braced for trouble. You can rewrite this by letting yourself enjoy things without guilt, and by sharing your light without trying to outshine anyone.

Judgement
Judgement in the karmic tail can point to a pattern where the family did a lot of condemning: of themselves, of the neighbors, of anyone who lived differently. Or someone turned their back on relatives, and that rift is still felt. You can rewrite this script with a gentler view of the past: learn the family history, understand people's motives without excusing the harm done, and choose what you carry forward.

The World
The World in the karmic tail can point to a pattern where the family never left their village, town, or circle, or, the other way round, had to flee and lost their roots. Perhaps some of this echoes in you as wariness of the new, or a feeling of being at home nowhere. Your own choice here: widen the horizon without running away, and keep your roots without closing yourself off.

The Fool
The Fool in the karmic tail can point to a pattern where someone in the family lived without commitments: left, walked away, did not answer for the consequences. Or the opposite, freedom was suppressed and any lightness was called foolishness. Your own version of freedom can be different: lightness that does not hurt others, and responsibility that does not take away the joy. Freedom you choose consciously does not have to harm anyone.
